Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the seasonal rental of the holiday home "Le Gîte aux Volets Jaunes", located at 85 rue des Sornins, 69790 Saint-Igny-de-Vers, France, operated by Florian Caux under the brand Séjours and Co.

Any booking implies full and unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs.

2. Description of the property

The holiday home is a character house of 330 m² featuring:

  • 6 bedrooms (capacity of 10 to 18 guests depending on configuration)
  • 3 bathrooms, 4 WCs
  • Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with fireplace, dining room
  • Private 1,000 m² garden with terrace and outdoor furniture
  • Outdoor 7-seater jacuzzi (extra charge)
  • Free on-site parking

3. Booking and payment

A booking becomes effective once a deposit of 30% of the total stay amount has been received. The balance is due no later than 30 days before the arrival date.

For any booking made less than 30 days before arrival, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

4. Prices and extras

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes, on the sejoursandco.fr website. They include the exclusive rental of the holiday home and access to all basic amenities.

The following extras are charged in addition, at the prevailing rates:

  • End-of-stay cleaning package
  • Bed linen and towel hire
  • Jacuzzi access
  • Early check-in or late check-out option
  • Tourist tax (see article 10)

5. Length of stay — Check-in and check-out

The minimum rental duration is 2 nights (3 or 4 nights minimum in high season, depending on the periods shown on the calendar).

  • Check-in: from 4:00 pm
  • Check-out: before 2:00 pm

Early check-in (from 2:00 pm) or late check-out (until 4:00 pm) options are available on request and at an extra cost.

6. Cancellation by the guest

  • More than 60 days before arrival: full refund of the deposit
  • Between 30 and 60 days: the 30% deposit is retained as compensation
  • Less than 30 days: the full stay remains due

Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. In the event of duly substantiated force majeure, cancellation terms may be adapted on a case-by-case basis.

7. Cancellation by the owner

Should the owner cancel the booking, the guest will be fully refunded any sums paid within 14 days. No additional compensation may be claimed.

8. Security deposit

A security deposit of €500 is required upon arrival, by cheque or pre-authorised bank hold. This deposit covers any damage, breakages, lost keys or excessive cleaning costs.

The deposit is returned within 7 business days after departure, less any deductions justified by a joint inventory of fixtures.

9. Guest obligations

The guest undertakes to:

  • Respect the maximum capacity of 18 guests
  • Occupy the premises peacefully and with due care
  • Refrain from organising parties or noisy events without prior written consent from the owner
  • Respect the neighbourhood, quiet hours and the internal rules displayed on site
  • Immediately report any malfunction or damage observed during the stay
  • Sort waste for recycling
  • Leave the holiday home in a reasonable state of cleanliness (sweeping, dishes washed, bins taken out)

10. Tourist tax

In accordance with applicable regulations, a tourist tax is collected from guests and paid back to the local authority. Its amount is set by the community of municipalities and is indicated at the time of booking.

11. Pets

Pets are accepted under conditions and on prior request. An extra cleaning charge may apply. The guest is liable for any damage caused by their pet.

12. Insurance

The guest must hold holiday rental insurance (civil liability for holidays) covering rental risks (fire, water damage, glass breakage). A certificate may be requested before arrival.

13. Accepted payment methods

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Bank transfer (SEPA)
  • Via the Airbnb and Booking.com platforms

For bookings made through a third-party platform, that platform's cancellation and payment terms take precedence.

14. Disputes and mediation

In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution within 30 days. In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the guest may have free recourse to a consumer mediator.

Failing amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the Lyon Court of Appeal. French law alone shall apply.
