The House with the Yellow Shutters
40 minutes from Tarare • 330 m² • 6 bedrooms • Jacuzzi • 10-18 guests
Tarare, the western gateway to the Beaujolais from Lyon and the A89 motorway, is a strategic starting point to reach our house nestled in the heights of the Upper Beaujolais. 40 minutes away by road, the drive across the Beaujolais hills is an invitation to travel in itself: panoramic passes, fir forests and green valleys roll past all the way to the village of Saint-Igny-de-Vers.
Lyon residents and travellers from the west will particularly appreciate this location. Leaving the Lyon area via the A89, Tarare is the last major staging point before plunging into the Beaujolais countryside. The Col des Sauvages, the high point of the route between Tarare and Amplepuis, offers a striking panorama over the Beaujolais hills. It's a favourite spot for cyclists, and our house makes an ideal base camp for keen cyclists and mountain bikers wanting to ride the surrounding cols.
The House with the Yellow Shutters welcomes you in a 330 m² character house with 6 bedrooms, 18 beds, a 7-seat outdoor jacuzzi and a 1,000 m² enclosed garden. The kitchen fully equipped for 18 guests, the 60 m² living room with fireplace and the 49 m² multi-purpose room with projector make this an ideal space for any group project. Whether you're coming from Lyon, the west of the region or further afield, the house offers a complete change of scene less than two hours from the major cities.
