From our large Beaujolais holiday home, set off to discover this classified architectural heritage, a true open-air museum between rolling vineyards and breathtaking views.
The emblematic villages of the Pierres Dorées route unfold along your walks: Oingt, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France with its medieval lanes; Bagnols with its imposing Renaissance château; Theizé and the Château de Rochebonne overlooking the vines; Ternand ringed by thousand-year-old ramparts. Every stop invites you to stroll, taste local wines at vintners' cellars and discover Beaujolais craftsmanship.

Several remarkable villages await: Oingt (one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France), Bagnols with its château, Theizé and the Château de Rochebonne, Ternand with its medieval ramparts, and Châtillon-d'Azergues with its priory. Each village has its own atmosphere of cobbled lanes, tasting cellars and vineyard panoramas.
The Pierres Dorées villages are in the southern Beaujolais, about 45 minutes to 1 hour by car from the house. It's an ideal day excursion you can combine with the Wine Route and a gastronomic stop.
